The Difference Between a Prostitute and a Sexologist

For the third time today, someone, and by “someone” I mean a man, thought I’m a prostitute. So let’s chat about the difference between a prostitute and a sexologist, shall we, just to clear up any confusion.

Prostitute: One who solicits and accepts payment for sex acts.

Sexologist: A person who is an expert in the science of sexual behavior.

So to recap, a prostitute actually engages in sexual behaviors. A sexologist studies the sexual behaviors of others. I don’t think unfavorably about prostitutes or prostitution, or those who use their services, I just wish that people (read “men”) would educate themselves on the difference and stop propositioning me.

First, in my youtube message inbox, I’m assuming in response to my sex EDUCATION videos:

I would spoil the hell out of you for a private vid.

You seem really open minded.

Any kinds of gifts online or any other donations you want from any websites or presents =)

Hugs

This guy didn’t even offer me money, I get gift cards? Gift cards ain’t gonna pay my bills!

Then I received a phone call asking about my “private parties”. I soon learned he thought Pole Dancing 101 meant a woman would come to his house for a private pole dance show, and as for Fellatio 101… well you get the idea.

Finally, I came upon an online forum called “the sexologist” dedicated to talking about my blog and business. The person who started the original thread had some very kind things to say about me, but then of course responding commenters start being negative, first questioning why she cares about someone she doesn’t know (because the world needs less of that?), and then started mocking sexology, saying:

Odd that 99% of males from the age of 13-79 have been devoting their entire lives to sexology and never knew they could have earned a doctorate…I looked into getting a doctorate in Sexology but not only wouldn’t they recognize the time spent in Canadian strip clubs…but they only gave me like 3 credit hours for masturbation…and I’ve masturbated FAR more than just 3 credit hours worth!

Ok, so this one isn’t propositioning me or calling me a prostitute, and it’s in jest, but it insinuates sexology means participating in sexual activities, which lead people to assume that a prostitute is one who has sex for money, and a sexologist is one who has sex for money and it very well learned and good at it.

So I’m very sorry gents, but no, I will not shoot a “private vid” for you in exchange for gift cards, I will not come to your house for a “private party”, and while I wish getting a doctorate was as easy as masturbating because I would have like 600 credit hours by now, that is unfortunately not the case.

Speaking of masturbating, you all HAVE to check back tomorrow for my latest sex toy review…. Yeah… it’s a good one.

Having to repeatedly convince people I will not, in fact, have sex with them for money- This is my life.
