Irene Blew Me

Remember that time I drove in a Hurricane to teach Orgasm 101 at a nudist resort? Yeah, that was a hoot!

The weather this weekend was challenging and I was trying to juggle my three different in-home parties in three different parts of the state as areas were evacuated, flights were delayed, and other messes.

All the hosts called to see if I wanted to cancel but I kept on trying to find a way to make these parties happen. And I did. I was thinking about why I wanted to risk my life driving for hours through the storm for one party, and then back through the storm for a few more hours for another party. I told the party hosts I didn’t want to disappoint them. I told Tyler I couldn’t afford to pass on the money. But during the long drive, I stewed about it and came to the conclusion that the real reason is because I am a sexoholic and I love to work- apparently at any cost. Being self-employed builds character- I don’t think I would ever work this hard if I was working for someone else.

It takes a LOT to make me nervous about giving a presentation about sex, however, I was pretty freaking anxious about the one at the nudist resort. At first it didn’t faze me that my entire audience would be nude. If you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all. But when I was pre warned that this group was likely to “give you a hard time” I got a little nervous. When I was told the audience were not only nudists, but mostly swingers and older- (read: more sexually experienced than they presumed me to be) and they all “think they’re going to teach you something” (as warned by the party organizer) I was feeling nervous but was up for the challenge. I was really nervous when I was told one person balked at the price, saying, “$40 per couple? Are we gonna get to do her?”

There was 28 people (big group!) but as has happened any time I’ve been nervous, something clicks and I just work it. There is not a doubt in my mind that I was born to do this so within a minute I was working the room as I normally do. And they didn’t give me *too* hard of a time. Once I took a swing in the sex swing that hung in the middle of the room and a twirl on the stripper pole that was there (I figure ‘when in Rome…’), I think they realized maybe I wasn’t naked with them, maybe I wasn’t participating in the public cunnilingus with them, but I could still be down for a little light hearted fun. In the end, it was a super fun time! I received lots of ‘thank you’s for all the knowledge I imparted (so I could teach this group something!), but I think I learned as much as I taught which is always nice!
